Don Jazzy has over N50 billion in his account

Mavin records boss, music producer and singer, Michael Collins Ajereh aka Don Jazzy is one of the wealthiest person in the Nigerian music industry.

Looking at Don Jazzy's career from the days of Mo'hits (2004 to 2012) to SMD (2012 - Present), his networth will be around 50 billion Naira or even more.

Earlier this year, David Adeleke aka Davido in his smash hit, 'If' said he has 30 billion naira in his bank account, keep in mind that O.B.O joined the game (Music industry) with 'Back When' and 'Dami Duro' in 2012 (five years ago). Five years later, David already has 30 billion Naira even though he spend a lot of money on Jeweleries, Cars, his daughter, his artistes and all.

Let's look at Don Jazzy from the start of his career. He created Mo' hits alongside D'banj and they had D'prince, Dr Did and WandeCoal under the label. He produced most (if not all) of Koko master's album from 'No long thing' to the last one he released under the label.

He also produced most of Wandecoal's album also. They also had hit songs together, like 'Pere' and all. He later joined Kanye West's label as a producer. He also worked with Jay Z and his wife, Beyonce (Happy Birthday Queen).

Looking at all of these, he was already a certified billionaire. Let's put his net worth here at 20 billion naira.

In May 2012 after D'banj's departure from Mo' hits, Jazzy floated his personal record label, 'Mavin Records' which is one of the most successful music company in Africa.
Also known as SMD, the label has acts like Tiwa Savage, D'Prince, Dr Sid, Reekado Banks, Di'ja, Korede Bello, Iyanya, DNA twins, Poe and Johnny Drille.

All these artistes are doing very well on their own with various hit singles and albums. The label also recorded joint tracks like Dorobucci, Looku Looku, Adaobi which they perform in shows and concerts all over Africa and beyond.

Racall that months back when a fan said Korede Bello is a liability to him, in response, Don Jazzy said within months, Korede Bello alone made him over 100 million naira, and Korede Bello has been under his label since 2014 (3 years now).

I'm not sure of the amount Jazzy is paid for a feature, but a lot of A-list artistes has featured him including Psquare, Timaya, Olamide and so on.

From SMD and all his artistes, shows in Africa and outside Africa, Concerts, Collaborations, Music productions, online streaming, Don Jazzy has made another 25 billion naira or even more.

Now, let's look at his endorsements (then and now) and investments. Jazzy signed a mouth watering deal with Samsung, MTN, Loyal Milk, Konga, Johnnie Walker. He even got tired of endorsements and he said he is now above being a brand ambassador, he is more into partnership.

Some months back, Don Jazzy also started a free WiFi service, Flobyt, across Lagos state.

Note: He renewed most of his endorsement deals. With these, he made over 5 billion naira.

Looking at it from the start of his career till now, over 14 years, I can tell you that Michael Collins Ajereh aka Don Jazzy is a billionaire and he worth over 50 billionaire naira.

He is even on Forbes list of richest African artistes.
